US Military History: Pre-Revolutionary Period

This guide is for use with military history courses taught at University of Wyoming, specifically HIST 2020: US Military History.

Overview

The pre-Revolutionary War period of US military history encompasses the period of colonial expansion in North America. Wars. The best known example is the so-called French & Indian War (part of the transAtlantic Seven Years War), events such as the Pequot War (1636-38), King Philip's War (1675-78), the Pueblo Revolt (1680), and Bacon's Rebellion (1675-76) are examples.
