Agricultural & Natural Resources Law: Getting Started

Introduction

You may find that you will need to investigate federal and state statutes, regulations, and case decisions in your research.  The statutes are laws passed by the legislature of a jurisdiction. Regulations are the product of administrative agencies. Case decisions, of course, come from the judicial branch.  Federal and state jurisdictions are parallel systems. Generally speaking, federal courts make rulings on federal issues, and state courts rule on state issues.
