Research Analytics: Research Collaboration

Information on how to use research analytics tools to gauge research impact by author, article, or institution.

Analyzing Research Collaboration

To what extent are our researchers collaborating with scholars at other institutions? What is the impact of this collaborative research?

InCites enables analysis of patterns of research collaboration between individual scholars, institutions, corporations, and countries, by looking at the institutional affiliations of co-authors of published research items; InCites also allows funding organizations to be taken into account. Collaboration analysis uses most of the metrics applied to research assessment at the author and institutional levels, including number of publications, citation impact, percentile ranking of citation performance, and so on.
