How Does It Work?
The One Button Studio is a video recording space that can be used to create video projects or practice class presentations. The Studio is designed for ease of use, especially if you have no previous video production experience. Video creation is as easy as the touch of a button!
Create videos in 3 simple steps
- Plug USB drive into the USB dock to activate the Studio camera and lights
- Press the button (or press the space bar) to start and stop recording
- Remove drive from the USB dock to deactivate the Studio camera and lights
Quick Start Guide
Reserve the One Button Studio
- Reserve at the Coe Library Help Desk with your WyoOne ID card or call the Desk at 766-3190
- Reserve for up to a maximum of 4 hours per session
- Reserve up to one week in advance
- Studio use is limited to current faculty, staff, and students for purposes of recording
Check Out the Studio Key
- Visit the Help Desk at the start of your reservation
- Present your WyoOne ID card to check out the key and accessories
Record your video(s) in the Studio
- Use a USB drive with plenty of space (1 GB = approximately 10-15 minutes of video footage)
- Insert drive into the USB dock to activate Studio camera and lights
- Press the button to start/stop recording
- When finished recording, remove drive from USB dock to deactivate Studio camera and lights
- Review your video using the PC. Plugiin your USB into the USB ports on the left side of the screen
- Optional - Use the PC workstation to transfer recordings to your University network storage
Shut down the Studio
- Shut down equipment and log off workstations at the end of your session
- Turn off the main Studio lights
- Return the Studio key and accessories to the Help Desk

- Practice and review thesis or dissertation defenses
- Produce course introductions for brick and mortar or online classes
- Pitch business cases or marketing campaign ideas
- Practice and critique interviewing skills for job-seekers
- Create dramatic effects with the green screen
- Practice and review speaking a second language
