Citation and Style Guides: Citation Generators

A quick guide to common citation styles.

What is a citation generator?

Citation generators are online tools that facilitate the creation of works cited pages and bibliographies. A citation generator is different from Zotero and EndNote (citation managers), because a generator won't store your citation information. It just formats it in various citation styles and gives you the information you need to put in your bibiliography. You enter data like title and author name, and the citation generator gives you the fully formatted citation.
