Spanish-language literature is in PQ6000 up through the PQ8000s on Level 3.
While the UW Libraries have a lot of literature in Spanish, we do not carry much popular fiction in Spanish. Many of the large public libraries in the Front Range have significant Spanish language collections, for both adults and children, and most people with a University of Wyoming ID card who are at the Laramie campus can borrow them through the Prospector system.
Outreach users need to use the Request it service directly, and not go through Prospector.
- Search in Prospector for what you are interested in – an author, a subject, a keyword – in English.
- Limit the search to Spanish language materials using the facets on the left hand side of the screen.
- Find the book, DVD, or CD that you would like to borrow, and click on the small Request it button.
- In the pop-up box choose Wyoming as your affiliated library.
- Enter your WyoWeb user name and password, select your pick-up location and hit submit.
- We will email you at your UW email when the material is ready for pick-up. Most things take a few business days to arrive. If it is winter and the roads are closed, allow a little more time for delivery.
