"Research generates evidence for the application of EBP, a problem-solving process centered around questions rooted in clinical inquiry and focused on practice outcomes. Once EBP has been integrated, QI projects are used to address the issue of practice in a local context to meet a specific aim with a focus on health care system processes and improvement. Research informs EBP, and EBP informs QI, thus clinical problems are resolved based on the most relevant research evidence, ensuring that interventions result in sustainable outcomes over time." (Dunlap et al., 2024, p. 3)
