The One Button Studio (Coe 206) can be used to practice, record, and critique student classroom presentations

  • Create quality video projects
  • Practice and review thesis or dissertation defenses
  • Produce course introductions for brick and mortar or online classes
  • Pitch business cases or marketing campaign ideas
  • Practice and critique interviewing skills for job-seekers
  • Create dramatic effects with the green screen

Drop in or Reserve the One Button Studio

Reserve the One Button Studio (Coe 206)  

To reserve the One Button Studio, please call Studio Coe (307-766-7002) and leave a message, email us at studioco@uwyo.edu, or drop by our open lab (Coe 237) to speak with our staff who can reserve the space for you.

Reservations may be made up to one week in advance for a maximum of 4 hours per session.

One Button Studio usage is currently limited to current students, staff, and faculty for purposes of recording video.

Editing Audio and Greenscreen Video with Adobe Applications

Note that the Adobe Suite is available for free to all Coe Library patrons within Studio Coe, Room 237. Studio Coe is also a staffed lab, meaning that their employees will be available to help you through the audio and video editing processes. 

Quick Start Guide

Check Out the Studio Key

  • Visit the Help Desk at the start of your reservation
  • Present your WyoOne ID card to check out the key and accessories

Record your video(s) in the Studio

  • Use a USB drive with plenty of space (4 GB is recommended --1 GB = approximately 10-15 minutes of video footage)
  • Insert drive into the USB dock
  • Turn on the camera
  • Open the Black Magic software program with the desktop icon
  • Click on the CAPTURE tab to start/stop recording
  • Note: mute the sound bar (if in use) while recording to eliminate the feedback noise
  • Review your video using the PC.

When finished recording, go to the PC desktop and drag your video files from the OUTPUT folder to your flash drive.

IMPORTANT:  TO AVOID THE POSSIBILITY OF ACCIDENTALLY OVERWRITING YOUR FILES, IMMEDIATELY RENAME YOUR VIDEO FILES.

  • Optional - Use the PC workstation to transfer recordings to your University network storage

Shut down the Studio

  • Shut down equipment and DO NOT log off workstations at the end of your session
  • Turn off the main Studio lights and camera
  • Return the Studio key and accessories to the Help Desk
