Print Magazines

Where to locate magazines printed in traditional format.

Current Magazines

The print magazines that UW Libraries subscribe to are located on Level 1 of Coe Library in the "Current Journals" section (across the aisle from the DVD/Media section). Magazines are cataloged according to the Library of Congress (LC) system rather than by title. The bound volumes of older issues from the most recent six years are kept in the "Bound Journals" section on Level 1.

To locate a magazine by title, click this link to go to the UW Libraries "Journal Title Search." Enter the title of the magazine and press "Submit."  Magazines that are available only through digital content will have the words "online" after the title. Click the link to go to the digital version.

Historical Magazines

Row of historical Life magazine issues.

Many historical magazines such as Life and Good Housekeeping have been bound into volumes and are available to review and check out. These bound volumes of magazines older than six years are located in the Library Annex. Please use Hold for Me to request materials located in the annex.

Some historical magazines are only available in digital format. Check the library collections for specific information whether magazines are available only as print, digital, or both.
