The University of Wyoming Libraries have a substantial collection of magazines. These magazines range from the most recent printed issues of popular magazines to digital databases of historical magazines more than two centuries old.
Magazines are popular or literary in nature, and in general are not considered peer-reviewed, scholarly material. However, for certain academic fields of study (e.g., cultural studies) magazine can be a great resource of material not available in scholarly journals. Magazines often report on current events much sooner than scholarly journals and may be the only source of information on certain topics.
The tabs on this guide provide information on print and digital magazines, the latter including the numerous databases the library has access to.
